Hello! I’m Karen. Welcome to my vegan baking blog.

I think the comment I get the most with my baking is “This can’t be vegan!”. I usually turn it around and ask “Why?”. Usually it’s because it’s too moist, has too much flavour or even just looks delicious.

Vegan baking isn’t really different than traditional baking – it’s not the franken-monster or difficult thing most people think it to be – there’s just a few ingredients that you have to substitute to get the same outcome.

When I became vegan over 5 years ago, I really started to get into cooking and baking for myself. It’s evolved into a love of cupcakes, muffins and breads that I want to share with you so that you, too, can make scrummy baked goods.

As a web designer for an environmental charity I’m well aware of the impact that eating animals has on our planet, as well as our health and the lives of all creatures. Vegan baking is like normal baking, but with extra good karma ;)

When I’m not baking I enjoy getting out to heritage sites, cycling and taking photos. I’m a Canadian that now lives in the UK, so I’m very lucky to find myself surrounded by such amazing history and beautiful countryside.
